Diesel Automotive Technician

Diesel Mechanic Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
- Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
- Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
- Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
- Advises advisors & clients on repair options
- Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
- Uses power machine and hand tools safely
- Follows all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications and Skills:
- Works with clients and has strong customer service skills
- Willing to work asa team and help trainees (if necessary) and has advanced leadership skills
- Collaborates with other diesel mechanics and has strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates time management organization and problemsolving skills
- Valid Drivers License
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- An associate degree in diesel technology or completion of a traineeship is required
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certified diesel mechanics are preferred
- At least 35 years of experience as a diesel mechanic is required
