Job Description
Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As the largest provider of PHP/IOP programs and psychiatric services in Illinois Compass Health Center is one of the fastestgrowing behavioral health organizations in the country. We are thrilled to expand our exceptionally innovative and highly distinguished programs that redefine our industry and raise the standard for comprehensive care.
Launching in September 2025 our newest location in Brookfield WI will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of wellestablished clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.

As an AdultGroup Therapist you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT DBT and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. This role will work with patients aged 18 in our Mood & Anxiety Program while also offering the opportunity to be crosstrained within our Adult specialty programs and services: Trauma OCD/Complex Anxiety MentalHealth and Substance Use.
*Note that training will occur earlyAugust through September when the Brookfield facility officially opens. Interviews will be taking place throughout the spring and summer.
What Youll Do:
- Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
- Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
- Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other evidencedbased therapies
- Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and throughout the program day as needed
- Learning and implementing the Compass group curriculum especially to address patient needs
- Engaging in crisis management as needed
- Charting in our electronic medical records system
- Participating in professional development activities
- This position may also include meeting with patients individually or with family members
- Other duties as needed
Who You Are:
- Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
- Are a Psychologist or Masters level therapist
- Have prior experience or interest in working with patients of varying diagnoses including Mood & Anxiety OCD/Complex Anxiety Trauma Mental Health and Substance Use
- Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible) LPC (or LPC eligible) LCSW LCPC PsyD or PhD
- Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
- Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization intensive outpatient inpatient hospital or residential setting (preferred not required)

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your years of experience type of experience location and education/certifications.
