Position Description:
Job Title: ETL Automation Tester with ETL SQL Python
Experience Level: 4 to 12 years
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL ester with strong expertise in ETL processes SQL and a basic understanding of DevOps practices. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our data integration and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
ETL Testing: Validate data transformations data quality and data integrity throughout the ETL pipelines.
SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and perform thorough backend testing of databases.
Python: Good Working experience in scripting languages
Test Planning & : Create detailed test plans test cases and test reports. Perform both functional and nonfunctional testing.
Defect Tracking: Identify log and track defects in collaboration with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers data engineers and product owners to understand requirements and improve overall product quality.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools methodologies and best practices to enhance the automation testing framework.
Qualifications:
Experience: 4 years of experience in automation testing with a focus on ETL data warehousing or big data environments.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and database testing. Handson experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica Talend etc.. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins Git Docker etc.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail in identifying issues and ensuring data accuracy.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Good to have:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark or similar.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
