Role Summary
This is an opportunity for a student to work with one of the university Staff Networks Parents and Carers Network to assist in planning events during Parents and Carers Fortnight in June 2025 with a particular focus on showcasing UoB research related to parents and carers.
The project will include creating a permanent online resource hosting a webinar and a facetoface event such as a poster and discussion session. These could be accessed by the student community as well as staff.
This project is crucial as it highlights significant research on parents and carers fostering a supportive community within the University. It aligns with the Universitys strategic objectives by enhancing staff wellbeing and engagement linking to the Strategic Framework strands of People and Culture and Research that Matters.
This opportunity will provide valuable work experience and skills development in the following areas:
Main duties
Project Officers will manage smaller projects in their entirety or manage elements of larger projects or assist in the management of one or more larger projects through the provision of welldeveloped and timely project management support. You will be expected to work proactively and use your initiative and planning skills to set your own priorities to ensure progress is maintained as expected identify any issue and propose solutions.
