Job Description
These positions are inperson and temporary for 3 weeks only.
COMMITMENT:
- 9 15 hrs / week for 3 weeks
- Travel to 3 5 schools per week M F
- Monday April 28 2025 though Friday May 16 2025
- A 30 minute virtual training will be provided prior to start date
- Core work hours will 3 3.5 hours during our afterschool program hours
- After School hours are approximately from 1:30pm 5:30pm and vary based on each individual schools bell schedule
STIPEND:
- $21 per hour
- This is a paid contract position that does not include any other benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
For each school:
- Prepare paper surveys in advance by noting school name and date
- Arrive 10 minutes before the beginning of class to prep
- For all students: usher the student to a quiet space in the classroom to conduct the survey.
- Read the questions slowly to the student allowing them to view the survey and make reflective choices.
- Ensure all questions have been answered and all students have completed the survey.
- At the end of class provide the Head Teacher with completed surveys.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to being able to work a minimum of 3 afternoons per week for 3 weeks
- Possess a valid drivers license and a reliable car (our schools are not easily accessible via public transportation) OR Capacity to easily get to schools in Richmond and Oakland. See Google Map for School Sites.
- Commitment to educational equity and programming for girls
- Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Spanish speaking is preferred but not mandatory.
ABOUT US:
SAfG serves girls in TK through 6th grades. Our mission is to remove systemic barriers to all girls participation in STEM starting in kindergarten by introducing sparking and building their interest through handson learning. Our programs increase their positive attitudes toward STEM and equip them with 21st century skills. In schools throughout the East Bay SAfG provides handson high quality afterschool STEM programming while girls are young so theyll stay engaged in STEM for the long term.
