Role: Residential Support Worker

Salary: Upto12.60 an hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Location: High Wycombe

Contract/Hours:Casual Shifttimes are 7am to 3pm 2pm to 10pm and 9.30pm to 7.30am (Waking Nights).Varied Hours you choose when youwork aroundyour study familyretirement or home life.

Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care guidance and advocacy. It is key that they stay safe and healthyand can reach their full potential.

About the service

The Vines is situated in High Wycombe just minutes off the M40 20 minutes off the M25 and well served by the local public transport network. In thiswarm and welcoming house we provideresidential short breaks thatsupportchildren andyoungpeoplewith learningdisabilities aged 11 to 19 who have complexbehavioural needs.

We are looking for a CasualResidential Support Worker to joinour fun andsupportive team who can bringtheir experience cando attitude and passionwith them and help maintain the high standards already set byour wonderful team!

What you will be doing:

  • Providing lead case/care planning management including assessing reviewing and managing risk.
  • Coordinating responsibilities with multi agency producing family information including analysis and written reports.
  • Attending professional meetings including reviews and court work.
  • Being resilient in supporting the young people through challenging situations.

Lets talk about you ideally you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
  • Application of a range of techniques to coordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
  • Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems individually and in a team setting.
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
  • Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us full support will be provided.
