Our client in Mississauga in the food manufacturing industry is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team!
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creating and executing preventative maintenance programs according to the manufacturers specifications and monitoring equipment and repairs.
Establishing preset inspection maintenance and repair schedules.
Detecting evaluating and resolving any malfunction or issue with production equipment.
Ensuring repairs are carried out in a costefficient and timely manner maximizing production capabilities and meeting health and safety requirements.
Participating as an active and contributing member of the Health and Safety Committee.
Creating and maintaining contracts for all machine and equipment repairs not performed in house.
Managing spare parts and equipment inventories and thirdparty service contractors.
Monitoring the annual maintenance budget monthlyto ensure proper cost control.
Maintaining accurate uptodate service records and maintenance logs for each major piece of equipment.
Proactively improving maintenance processes and standards as appropriate.
Managing coaching and training team of maintenance technicians.
To excel in this role you will have apostsecondary degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related fieldalong withat least 5 years of experience in maintenance management and supervisory roles within thefood production/bakeryindustry.Possessing anIndustrial Electrical 442AorIndustrial Millwright 433ALicense would be considered an asset.
Ideal candidate for the role you will also have knowledge of or experience with the following:
Strong knowledge of electronics controls mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery.
Formal training on maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Strong knowledge of safety standards for food production equipment.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to coach and develop employee skills.
Familiarity with Project Management andERP software systems.
The ideal candidate shouldbe aproactive handson leaderthat is knowledgeable about continuous lines is able to hit the ground running and understands how to be flexible with their schedule. They have a passion for learning coaching and developing their teams skills and ensuring that the facility is running at peak efficiency. They understand the need to prioritize quickly and resolve challenges and move forward from them.
