Job Description

KB Seafood Co is Australias largest seafood company and one of the most awarded & successful food service operators. We provide over 30000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.

Our brands include KB Seafood Co Just Caught Frozen Seafood KBs By George and Kailis Bros which is used under licenseand we have over 2700 active products in the market.

About the Role:

KB Seafood Co are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join us.

Reporting to WA Operations Manager the role will be responsible to undertake all maintenance and control of the daytoday preventative maintenance plan for the KBs Perth operations ensuring activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner resulting in product of the highest quality standard.

This role will be working directly with our Production Leadership team.

This is a Permanent Fulltime role based in Canning Vale WA.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and coordinate the preventative maintenance program ensuring adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor equipment and acting to improve where necessary.
  • Maintain spare parts stock levels to ensure optimal inventory in support of the operations.
  • Conduct monthly spare parts stock take and report back to site Operations manager.
  • Supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely efficiently and in accordance with company procedure and legislation.
  • Participate in and lead regular communication to ensure effective contractor resource planning in line with project expectations.
  • Source and coordinate subcontractors to complete necessary works.
  • Regularly review and update relevant contractor information to ensure documentation is accurate and legally compliant.
  • Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other departments related to service cost and productivity.
  • Responsible for all handovers and checklists generated internally for the quality system.
  • Attend toolbox meetings conveying and communicating operational and interdepartmental.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3 Years general site maintenance experience in a similar role
  • Certification or training in Mechanical Fitting; Training in Plant and Equipment Maintenance will be an added advantage
  • Experience applying proactive OH&S practices and understanding of HACCP principles
  • Experience or exposure to the food industry in a maintenance capacity
  • HACCP experience or accreditation would be desirable.
  • Excellent problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
