Job Description
Responsibilities:
Conduct cost estimates for roadworks projects including material costs labor costs and equipment costs
Monitor project costs and budget throughout the construction process
Prepare and submit interim valuations of work done on roadworks projects
Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients contractors and subcontractors
Manage variations and claims for roadworks projects
Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to project team and senior management
Liaise with clients contractors and subcontractors on quantity surveying matters
Provide support and guidance to site teams on quantity surveying issues
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying specifically in roadworks projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and costs related to roadworks
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detailoriented and highly organized
Professional accreditation from a recognized institution is a plus
