Lab Manager- Specimen Processing

Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a large health care organization located in Charlotte NC looking to add a Lab manager to their specimen processing team. This position requires strong leadership skills a background in laboratory operations and the ability to manage a large team while ensuring operational efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 20 direct reports ensuring effective leadership support and guidance to staff members.
• Scheduling & Efficiency: Supervise the scheduling team to maintain operational coverage and efficiency throughout the lab.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training coaching and development opportunities to team members to promote professional growth and ensure the highest quality of service.
• Leadership: Foster a positive supportive work environment to enhance team performance and maintain high standards of quality and patient safety.
• Operational Support: Maintain effective operations in specimen processing addressing any issues or concerns that may arise in a timely and professional manner.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree required.
• Experience: At least 2 years of laboratory experience preferably in Specimen Processing.
• Leadership: Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fastpaced laboratory environment is required.
• Skills: Strong communication organizational and leadership abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Schedule:

• Temporary (First 90 Days): 5:30 PM 2:00 AM
• Permanent: 3:30 PM Midnight (Monday Friday with rotating weekends and holidays)

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay Range: $24.85 $31.08/hr
• SignOn Bonus: $5000 (FullTime)
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $4000
