Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Intermediate Network Engineer and onsite government personnel in responding to and managing any tickets alerts or communications that come into the Network Operations Center.
- Follow up with other government and contractor personnel on outstanding ticket updates.
- Observe the actions of other contractor personnel to capture and assist with ticket updates or notes for after action reviews.
- Provide support to other contractor personnel towards the accomplishment of their responsibilities and duties.
- Contribute to reporting and data analysis of the work done under the CLIN by the NOC.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active TopSecret security clearance
- 13 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies specifically with Cisco switches and routers and resolving LAN/WAN issues.
- Basic knowledge of IP OSPF BGP EIGRP MPLS Stateful firewalls and encryption technologies.
- Working knowledge of network management tools such as Riverbed Wireshark Micro Focus Network Automation etc.
- Working knowledge of web applications web servers application load balancers and storage systems. Must have good knowledge of general security tools and methodologies such as firewalls IDS/IPS and access control lists.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates of Science degree (preferred) in Information Technology Computer Science or related area.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise Core and Infrastructure certification.
