Lathe Machinist
Anoka MN Direct Hire $28 $38/hour
Are you a skilled Lathe Machinist with experience in CNC programming and machine setup We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. This position offers the chance to work with advanced CNC turning centers as well as occasionally operating manual lathes all while contributing to the creation of various parts.
Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:
- Program set up and operate CNC lathe machines ensuring optimal machining performance.
- Occasionally operate manual lathes for more customized or smaller production runs.
- Inspect machined parts for accuracy quality and consistency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues performing basic maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure parts are fabricated to exact specifications.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
Lathe Machinist Qualifications:
- Proven experience setting up programming and operating CNC lathes.
- Ability to operate manual lathes for specialized or smallerrun parts.
- Proficient in CNC programming (Gcode Mcode) and setup procedures.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machining processes materials and tooling.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure topquality results.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with selecting installing and adjusting cutting tools and inserts.
