The Department of OBGYN has an exciting opportunity for a fulltime Clinical Business Operations Representative to work in Miami FL
Assists the department in managing expectations surrounding pre and post patient care.
Obtains or reviews all patient demographic information insurance information and referral numbers.
Reviews clinical records for completeness including authorization signatures missing data and other patient information.
Answers multiple telephones for the department: triage incoming calls responds to questions directs calls and documents messages in the appropriate software.
Greets visitors and callers handles their inquiries and directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
Works cooperatively with fellow employees to solve problems and enhance the smooth and efficient flow of the practice.
Provides coverage for responsibilities of coworkers when assigned or as need arises.
Develops and promotes the use of effective methods of communicating with physicians managers peers trainees and staff on a regular basis.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to work evenings nights and weekends as necessary.
Skill in collecting organizing and analyzing data.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Commitment to the Universitys core values.
Responsible for triaging all patient related calls for physicians assigned and documenting accordingly any pertinent information and instructions given by provider and the consequent actions taken. Processes and assists with responding to all patient related requests and UChart Inbasket messages for assigned pools/providers.
Responsible for physicians schedule to coordinate academic and patient related activities. Monitors clinical schedule for providers to ensure accuracy of number and types of appointments. Review no shows and cancelled appointments as per department policy.
Followup on all results for area of responsibility including but not limited to all lab work pathology and ancillary testing such as mammograms ultrasounds MRIs as directed by providers. Also follow up on any necessary referrals to specialists procedures as requested by providers.
Submit requests as needed for any authorizations/referrals for these follow up appointments and procedures.
Responsible for coordination of all physician surgeries and inpatient admissions according to departmental protocol.
Coordinate and ensure receipt of financial and medical clearance for surgery and other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates sustained high level of proficiency in all aspects of job
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and/or certifications may be considered.
