Job Description
The Role
Pilot is building a firstofitskind softwarecentric solution to tackle the financial back office (bookkeeping tax CFO etc. so that founders and business owners dont have to. We already work with 2000 customers and are expanding rapidly and the data team has a pivotal role in driving Pilots growth.
As a data analyst at Pilot youll join a group of highperforming and motivated data professionals focused on impact and collaboration. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to solve businesscritical problems with your analytical skills.
We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated success in leveraging data to solve realworld business problems. Youre passionate about using data to solve hard problems and youre an expert in analyzing complex data and crafting compelling narratives to communicate your insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deepdive analyses to uncover insights and influence business decisions
- Create and maintain companywide metrics and reporting in Looker
- Build highquality DBT pipelines to automate data analysis and empower scalable analytics
- Handle adhoc data requests while addressing stakeholder teams longterm goals
- Train and mentor other teams on how to best use data to drive their decisions
About You
Our requirements for this role are:
- 5 years of relevant experience as data analyst
- Experience leveraging data to inform business decisions
- Expertlevel knowledge of SQL
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to commute to the Downtown SF office twice a week (Tuesdays Thursdays)
Here are some preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with sales marketing or finance teams
- Experience with DBT Snowflake and Fivetran
- Experience working with Salesforce and Zuora data

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $126k $170kin San Francisco CA. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise geographic location total compensation and market data. In addition to cash pay fulltime regular positions are eligible for equity 401(k) health benefits and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for parttime or temporary positions.
