Job Description

Position Type: Parttime adjunct
Compensation: $800 $950 per credit based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Location: NHTI Concords Community College Concord NH

Overview:

NHTI Concords Community College is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable educators to join our Adjunct Faculty Talent Pool in American Sign Language (ASL). This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students promote cultural awareness and teach essential ASL skills that have realworld applications in various professional and personal settings.

As part of this talent pool youll have the chance to shape the next generation of ASL learners fostering communication skills that are invaluable in healthcare education social services and beyond. Whether youre an experienced instructor or a skilled ASL professional eager to teach we welcome you to share your expertise and make a lasting impact at NHTI!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in ASL or mastery of ASL plus a Masters degree in Education or at least 18 graduate credits ASL Education or another relevant field.
  • Experience: At least two years teaching ASL at the college level.
  • Desired Qualification: Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS).
  • Residency: Must reside in NH VT ME MA RI or CT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions assignments and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance provide feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
