Purpose:

Manages service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment by focusing on the Gooseneck Implement customer experience. Will be the first and main point of contact for both walkin and phone in customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on Gooseneck Implement customer experience
  • Expected to be the first to Answer incoming service calls
  • Managing all shop phone traffic to the Service Department
  • Successfully managing all customer phone calls
  • Managing all customer walkintraffic so customers are not directly talking with the Shop Foreman
  • Lines out all service call dispatches
  • Works with foreman on level of importance projects in the shop
  • Works with Extended support service parts advisor and other parts employees on lined up service calls
  • Gets all details from customer and puts all info into work order notes (Directions phone number codes recent activities recent behavior)
  • Creating quotes and selling inspections
  • Follow up with customers as needed
  • Handle customer disputes and will escalate to Service Manager if needed
  • Delivers the Gooseneck Experience


Experience Education Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3 years experience in Service Department operations
  • Proven experience and excellence in customer support
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internetbased functions
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
