Our client in the Manufacturing industry is currently looking to employ a Maintenance Supervisor to their team in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
Certificate in Technical discipline or Maintenancerelated fields (NQF 5.
Trade Test (NQF 5.
Certificate in First Line Management (FLMP) (NQF 5.
Diploma in Technical discipline or Maintenancerelated fields (NQF 6.
Up to 5 years experience in Maintenance operations in a Manufacturing environment including 1 to 2 years at Supervisory level and up to 3 years working shifts.
Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite SAP ERP and other jobspecific software systems).
Indepth knowledge of maintenance practices procedures and processes with a sound understanding of compliance with applicable legislation safety and manufacturing regulations.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations and Control 55
Ensures effective reactive predictive and preventative maintenance are performed on all plant infrastructure and equipment to minimize downtime limit failures and optimize production processes.
Coordinates firstline maintenance and raises job cards for all required work ensuring work permits (e.g. hot work vessel entry and elevated work) are properly escalated to the Manager for approval.
Drives and participates in fault analysis of equipment failures utilizing methods like Root Cause Analysis 5 WHY 8D etc.
Approves job cards upon successful completion of maintenance work.
Ensures equipment and work areas are safe wellmaintained by Operators and always comply with housekeeping and safety standards.
Monitors and rectifies equipment failures in a timely manner conducting preventative maintenance as per schedule.
Coordinates plant shutdowns providing and receiving feedback as needed.
Submits written reports to the Manager.
Compliance 15
Operates within controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the Companys and compliance with relevant regulations to prevent wasteful or irregular expenditure.
Identifies reports and addresses risks or areas of concern to management within the department.
Adheres to and enforces Health Safety and Environmental (SHE) legislation to minimize risks incidents or damage to the organization and the environment.
Monitors cost and expenditure minimizing waste and ensures documentation and records are available.
Customer Service 10
Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers to deliver the highest quality of service.
Represents Companys in meetings with stakeholders addressing issues creatively and demonstrating integrity in line with Companys core values.
Monitors client customer and employee satisfaction aiming to minimize discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulations.
Staff Supervision 10
Ensures performance agreements are signed performance is monitored quarterly and appraisals are conducted.
Collaborates with HR to set performance objectives identify development needs and create action plans.
Oversees training and development addresses employee relations matters fairly and ensures HR procedures are followed.
Receives feedback from employees and ensures performance objectives are achieved.
Cost And Financial Control 10
Contributes to the budget preparation process and promotes the effective efficient and transparent use of resources.
Monitors and controls expenditure against the budget ensuring compliance with financial guidelines and reports deviations to the Manager.
Identifies and implements opportunities to control and reduce costs.
