Join Our Team as a Program Coordinator I at Texas A&M University!
The Program Coordinator I is responsible for providing professional and customized academic
programming and support to all transfer students at Texas A&M University. This position will be
crucial in assisting and supporting incoming transfer students enrolled in the Transfer Student
Program. The coordinator will be an important member of the team aiding the program director
with the administration and implementation of transfer services within the Office for Student
Success.

Salary: $45000 (Compensation will be commensurate to selected hires experience)

Note: Occasional work beyond regular business hours for student activities and meetings
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience working with programs
Two years of program coordination management assistance or can demonstrate experience working with student populations (If this experience is not readily apparent on your resume please expound in your cover letter)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to multitask and stay current on innovative ideas as it pertains to student success and enrichment.
Excellent organizational abilities and oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
Ability to work with faculty staff student and in groups and be helpful respectful
approachable and team oriented
Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment Ability to multitask show innovation and detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in providing educational programming communitybuilding and enriching student experiences
Comfortable presenting to faculty staff students and the general population topics related to student success transferring to Texas A&M University and the ability to research and stay current on the specific needs of the transfer student population
Above average computer and technology skills/competencies
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Director manages overall coordination and operations for key programs that engage new and returning transfer students across colleges and majors
Serve as primary point of contact for the development implementation and coordination of key external programming and transfer initiatives
Data management and create evaluative instruments for key programs events and initiatives
Assists with hiring and supervising student assistants and peer mentors
Assist with budget management for key programming
Managementand Training:
This position will assist the Director with planning and organization of all academic events and activities including but not limited to New Student Conferences scholarship programs and hosting prospective student populations
Primary supervisor for peer mentors 20 and other student staff
Advancement and Career Opportunities:
Our office ensures that the department and departmental staff are recommended for division university and professional organization awards and recognition
Our office offers and financial supports professional development for this position
The candidate for this position will have the opportunity to participates on various division ad hoc committees as assigned and assumes responsibility for specific projects for Office for Student Success as requested to further expand the candidates portfolio and knowledge base
