Job Description
The Arbors at Taunton a family owned and managed assisted living community is proud to be a warm and welcoming community dedicated to providing highquality care and enriching the lives of our residents. We strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where our residents can thrive. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate independent hairdresser to offer onsite hair care services to our residents.
Opportunity:
We are looking for a selfmotivated and reliable hairdresser to provide professional hair services to our residents within our assisted living facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent professional to build a consistent clientele within a supportive and appreciative community. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and rates.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of hairdressing services to residents including haircuts styling shampooing and other requested services.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents understanding their individual needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after appointments.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Manage your own appointment scheduling with residents.
Requirements:
- Valid cosmetology license or relevant certification in the state of Massachusetts.
- Must possess and maintain your own professional liability insurance. Proof of current insurance will be required.
- Must provide your own professional hairdressing supplies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with varying levels of mobility is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
- Must be reliable punctual and professional.
- Must pass a background check as required by state regulations.
Compensation:
This is an independent contractor position. You will:
- Set your own service rates.
- Retain all income generated from your services.
The assisted living community will provide a designated space within the facility for you to provide services.
