Eastmans Acetate Fibers Manufacturing Division (AFMD) is accepting applications for the Limited Service Employees (LSE) Operations role at our Kingsport TN facility.
Limited Service Employees (LSEs) are parttime positions without benefits and are eligible to work up to 1300 hours in any 12month period.
A minimum number of working hours per week cannot be guaranteed. Working hours are obtained by filling available shifts which are volunteered for and assigned per the area overtime policy.
A set schedule is not guaranteed. LSEs may be asked to work a rotating shift schedule. Work scheduling will be by assignment on a weekly basis to cover a regularly scheduled shift. Must be willing to work up to a 12hour shift including night shift.
This is a temporary operations position
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED is required.
- Chemical Process Operations (CPO) certificate from NE State is preferred (not required).
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Completion of the WorkKeys assessment with the scores listed below is preferred (not required)
- Reading for Information / Workplace Documents Level 4
- Locating Information / Graphic Literacy Level 4
- Applied Mathematics Level 4
Job Expectations:
- Must follow all safety procedures.
- Know and obey the Eastman Basic Safety Expectations AFMD Safety Musts and Areaspecific Safety Musts.
- Must wear companyprovided personal protective equipment such as safety shoes safety glasses with side shields and hard hats at all times in designated areas. Dust mask rubber gloves face shields and other protective equipment must be worn when required.
- Be familiar with basic computer functions such as creating sending and receiving email and data entry.
- Have a strong work ethic demonstrating both initiative and a professional attitude.
- Dependability in terms of reporting to work on time and when scheduled is a must.
- Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to apply mechanical fundamentals to properly operate and maintain the performance of the equipment within area of responsibility.
- Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations.
