The developer will code test and debug programs provide support to internal customers and update system configuration artifacts for Agencyport applications. The developer will also produce functional and technical specifications test plans and implementation plans. The developer will participate and assist in system technical designs and software evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce deliverables using application program code (including testing and debugging code at the unit test level)
- Create implementation plans and coordinate production implementations.
- Utilize procedures for code review estimating peer review impact analysis and root cause analysis.
- Lead small to medium sized development efforts and escalate as appropriate to management.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders of all types across the organization.
- Understand the information technology organization and the applications which IT supports.
- Provide oncall application support on a rotational basis.
Key Requirements:
- 5 years advanced application programming experience.
- 3 years of experience working with the Agencyport Software Development Kit (SDK) Agency Portal 5.x and Connect5 (AgencyConnect).
- Familiarity with the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) software product.
- Relational database management experience using products such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle and the Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language.
- Understanding of microservicesoriented architecture application processing interfaces (API) and WebServices.
- Prior experience with design deployment and maintenance of interactive web applications.
- Operate effectively and efficiently in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred experience:
- Experience with programming languages including C# .Net XML XPATH Java JQuery.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipeline CI/CD tools (Bitbucket GIT Jira Confluence Jenkins).
- Experience with Informatica Powercenter ETL software.
- Experience with the Duck Creek policy administration system is a plus.
