Job Description
The Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech with Professor Yan Chen seeks a parttime developer to join our research initiative. The chosen candidate will assist in the development of a webbased learning platform that enhances inperson programming instruction by integrating AIdriven behavioral analysis. Responsibilities include implementing code management techniques aiding in the realtime monitoring of student interactions and working with AI tools designed to offer insights into classroom cognitive dynamics.
Required Qualifications
Strong programming skills relative to education level
Prior experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS
Passion for improving education methodologies.
The ability to meet deadlines and schedules
Project management skills
Critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with educational technology or AI
Experience with large language models
Experience working in a collaborative environment
