Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Demand Planner is responsible for demand forecasting and business analysis activities. This person will serve as a link between merchandising and supply chain to ensure alignment between plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and maintains promotional demand forecasts down to item level.
- Develop and maintain new items and base demand for existing items.
- Reviews tactical demand trends and adjusts forecast inputs and outputs as needed.
- Collaborates during consensus demand meetings with crossfunctional partners to ensure alignment on forecasts.
- Resolves accurate forecasts for replenishment promotional sales new item forecasting and planning and for the forecast accuracy for assigned categories.
- Recognizes trends or patterns and adjusting forecasts as necessary.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required:Bachelors Degree in Business Supply Chain Management or similar
- Experience:12 years of experience in Demand Planning or similar role with emphasis on data analysis.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Working knowledge of the following areas desirable: business principles supply chain processes Microsoft Access and Excel DOMO SQL VBA and other applicable software applications.
- Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem solving quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Adaptable resourceful and forward thinking

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular computer work and sitting
- Occasional walking standing and lifting up to 50lbs
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Daytoday work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
