Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Dealer Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Used Car Dealer Mechanic you will play a vital role in our dealership by performing thorough inspections diagnostic tests and repairs onpreowned vehicles. Your expertise in identifying mechanical issues providing accurate assessments and delivering efficient solutions will ensure customer satisfaction and enhance our reputation for quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of preowned vehicles to identify mechanical electrical and structural problems.
  • Perform diagnostic tests using advanced tools and equipment to accurately determine the cause of vehicle issues.
  • Repair and replace faulty components systems and parts ensuring adherence to manufacturers specifications and dealership standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes tire rotations and filter replacements.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate assessments of vehicle condition and repair costs.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle.
  • Keep uptodate with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic specifically working with used vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and address mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Indepth knowledge of automotive systems including engine transmission electrical and suspension.
  • Familiarity with various makes and models of used vehicles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
