Job Summary
Admissions Ambassadors serve the Office of Admissions as the first point of contact for both prospective students and current applicants. Students who work in this position respond to guests via our front desk phone calls email and Service Now tickets. Admissions Ambassadors are led by the Information Center Associate who provides daily assignments and provides support to the student staff.
Under direct supervision Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual clerical public contact and/or analytical skill. Assignments have limited use of discretion and judgment. Work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. Specific job duties are defined by the appropriate campus department.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
Due to department budget students who are eligible for Federal Work Study will take priority in the application process.
** PLEASE NOTE: We have weekly staff meetings on Fridays from 10am 11am. It is important that students are available to attend weekly meetings as that is the time where we provide important updates.
Background Check
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
