Job Description
Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking to hire a Network Technician to support military customers in Blount Island Jacksonville FL and Albany Georgia with additional travel locations within the United States. Nakupuna Solutions supports the US Marine Corps with engineering furnishing installing securing testing (EFIST) and making operational a modern network infrastructure by providing all equipment labor training software firmware licenses power interfaces and documentation to make our solutions truly turnkey.
The NetworkTechnician will be responsible for the implementation of networking hardware for thecreative innovative and thoughtful technical solutions for Nakupuna Solutions client base. The Network Technician will work hand in hand with other technicians engineers and the Lead Systems Engineers to execute accepted solutions with new and existing clients.
Responsibilities

- Supportverificationsite surveys atgovernmentinstallations within the United States in order to identify and document the current network infrastructure installedto ensure the technical solution meets the customerrequirement
- Support theSenior Network/CommunicationsEngineersinimplementing the technical solutions for new and existingclients
- Provide feedback to theSenior Network/CommunicationsEngineerson improvements to thetechnical solutionsbeingimplemented
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for network infrastructureinstallations
- Understanding of networking technologies wireless networking technologies topologies and protocols. (TCP/IP Routing Switching VLANs Ethernet)
- Handson experience in implementing operating and troubleshooting IPbased Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN)using CiscoIOS
- Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broadteam
- Comfortable in a fast paced ambiguous and often multidirectional work environments
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: SelfMotivated Problem Solving Multitasking. Must hold a valid drivers license.
Education and Experience: 1 year experience in networking.Cisco CCST Certification is desired.
Location: Must be willing to travel and work in any government installation in the United States. Travel may be 20 or more.
Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret Security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements:The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the jobwith or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands wrists and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
