Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Technician II PartTime
Department/Location: Immaculate Conception Douglas
Primary Function: Under the direction of the Pastor or parish office manager is responsible for working independently in a leadership role and performing a variety of complex maintenance duties in a parish or school. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received. (Eph. 4:1
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform in support the Churchs spiritual and pastoral mission
Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employees professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
Work independently in a leadership role in the performance of general facility and grounds maintenance including cleaning and maintenance of Church andother grounds facilities
Provide training and ongoing supervision of maintenance and custodial personnel as assigned.
Maintain parish equipment including cafeteria kitchen restrooms and other facilities in a functional condition; recommend and oversee replacement of equipment as necessary
Maintain a supply of and account for cleaning supplies and equipment; maintain an adequate inventory at all times
Comply with chemical handling laws and occupational safety regulations as required; maintain a safe working environment
Maintain security of buildings equipment tools and other assets of the parish
Make recommendations for continuous improvements in all areas assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical/Mental Requirements: Requires coordination and manual dexterity normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal maintenance environment.
Required Activities: Walking sitting standing stooping reaching talking handling hearing carrying lifting and climbing
