We currently have an opening for aFullTime Medical Records Coding Specialist. In this unique position youll manage and update critical patient diagnoses ensure accurate documentation and coordinate Medicare certifications for admissions and readmissions. Your expertise will play a vital role in optimizing patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Education Requirements:
  • 12 years of experience
Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Update and review face sheets ensuring all diagnoses including primary and prioritized diagnoses are accurately recorded.

  • Code and update all diagnoses using the ICD10 CM system in the EMR ensuring proper clinical sequences and dates.

  • Complete Medicare certification forms with relevant dates and diagnoses for admissions and readmissions.

  • Review and update diagnoses for the annual MDS including updating discharge summaries and face sheets during the patients stay.

  • Ensure proper documentation and communication for Medicare reviews appeals and related coordination with other departments.
