We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator at L3 levelto join our clients team. The person in this role will be responsible for designing implementing maintaining and optimizing MySQL database environments within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Administer maintain and optimize MySQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Design and implement database architectures including replication clustering and highavailability solutions.
- Monitor database performance identify bottlenecks and implement necessary optimizations.
- Perform database updates migrations apply patches and enhance database security.
- Develop and implement backup and data recovery strategies.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database structures.
- Automate routine database maintenance tasks using scripting languages.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering enterpriselevel MySQL databases.
- Indepth knowledge of MySQL replication (MasterMaster MasterSlave Group Replication).
- Experience in MySQL performance tuning query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with MySQL highavailability solutions.
- Understanding of MySQL security best practices and experience implementing them.
- Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible Terraform or similar is a plus.
