Job Description
Make a splash at The Colonnade at our Boston rooftop pool. Offering an exhilarating gathering place for family and friends to enjoy a carefullycrafted cocktail among the Boston after going for a dip in our sparkling RTP rooftop pool. Our Boston hotel with pool has been considered one of the worlds sexiest rooftop pools offering a refined urban retreat.
POSITION PURPOSE:
We are looking for customerservice oriented Servers. Servers must be detail oriented attentive selfmotivated and committed to provide outstanding customer service. Servers are mainly responsible for positive guest interaction while serving the guest. Servers should have general knowledge of food wine and safety.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serve food & beverage orders in a friendly professional and timely manner. Take food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques. Have complete knowledge of all menu items prices preparation method/time ingredients and quality standards of taste appearance serving temperature portion size garnish and method of presentation. Clear tables during service. Control guest checks and secure proper payment. Ensure station and table setups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by theSupervisor.
Skills Abilities and Experience needed to be successful
- Must haveprior Food & Beverage experience.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Candidates must be at legal age take drink orders mix drinks and serve alcohol.
- Be able to communicate clearly and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Basic knowledge of food presentation preparation and handling.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a pointofsale system.
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work days nights weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in an indoor and outdoor environment.
The Pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day (weather permitting).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend stoop crouch reach with hands and arms. Ability to carry and balance dishware and glassware in the course of service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
