Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide supervision to speech therapy assistants; assess analyze and develop reports regarding the speech disability condition; maintain apprpriate records and files; evaluate effectiveness of speechlanguage program; conduct necessary screenings; provid therapy to identified students as required; educate and consult with parents and teachers regarding speech disabilities in special education students

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology form accredited university or college
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology
  • Licensed to practice as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist in the state of Texas

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to observe assess and record progress of students with speech impairments
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Strong consultaion skills for conferencing with teacher parents and others
  • Ability to supervise and train speechlanguage assistants
  • Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in speaking and writing Spanish

Experience:

  • Open to clinical fellows

Works a 202 day calendar

Salary $5000.00 Stipend
