Position Description:
TheTruck/VanDriver is responsible for all pickups and deliveries all mail products and materials associated with the school system.
Reports To:
Director of Warehouse
Scope of Responsibility:
- Works closely with the Director of Warehouse to ensure the mission vision and a set of measurable objectives are achieved for the Facilities and Maintenance Department.
- Works with the Maintenance teams to accomplish long and shortterm maintenance plans for JPS facilities.
- Makes deliveries to various schools and departments on a daily basis and assists with loading the trucks as required.
- Routinely inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas oil water tires lights and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.Reports immediately any deficiencies or need for service to the Director of Warehouse.
- Utilizing excellent customer service skills promotes and maintains effective working relationships with other employee sandall members of the general public.
- Capable of operating a forklift hydraulich and jack two wheel hand truck and motor vehicles to assist in carrying out the business of the department.
- Counts sorts or weighs incoming goods to verify receipt of items against shipping notice.
- Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications.
- Fills service request workorders including checking shelves for items retrieving items.
- Serves as back up to the Director of the Warehouse as needed.
- Available oncall for Warehouse afterhours call outs.
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicle and warehouse.
- Follow accident procedure.
- Keep an activity log and log hours.
- Performs all other duties asassigned by the Director of Warehouse.
Skills and Qualifications:
We seek detailoriented independent selfstarters who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement and who have are cord of high performance in challenging situations. Successful candidates will also demonstrate and/or possess:
- 3years of progressively increasing experience in delivery and warehouse
- Strong communication skills in multiple settings and the ability to be an engaging change a gent and culturecreator that can inspire and
- Collaborative management style with a proven track record of working with diverse individuals at all levels to drive decisionmakingand
- Driver must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80
- Climbing into and out of the truck is required
- Must have Commercial Drivers License Class A or B.
- Must have good driving
- Experience in the operation of large and small
- Must provide medical examiner certificate.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Physical Involvement:
Sitting is required to drive the truck to each delivery sight. Standing walking reaching bending and lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Climbing into and out of the truck is required constantly.
