What youll be doing:
In collaboration with the Store Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Professionally interact with customers (internal and external) as required while conducting duties.
- Manage customer complaints (internal and external) in a professional and effective manner.
- Assist the Store Manager with scheduling and approve timecards.
- Ensure the retail floor is merchandised according to standards and remains clean and organized throughout the day.
- Ensure that all production targets are met on a daily basis by identifying and prioritizing processing needs. Supervise staff; provide encouragement and corrective action when necessary
- Perform financial opening and closing procedures including but not limited to issuing store credits balancing tills and floats recording daily sales inputting sales into online web page preparing bank deposits as well as reporting shortages/overages accordingly.
- Assist in preparing team member timesheets and schedules and making changes to schedules as needed and approve timecards.
- Train other Goodwill team members on how to perform all aspects of a particular job including paperwork and documentation required.
- Perform facility opening and closing procedures ensuring the building is safe and secure.
What you bring to the table:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- A minimum two 2 years related supervisory experience supervising personnel and directing work flow.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse working environment.
- A friendly courteous demeanor and a professional appearance.
- Able to comfortably and enthusiastically converse in English with team members donors and other members of the public about Goodwill and its mission.
- You deliver amazing customer service by going above and beyond for all Goodwill customers.
- You demonstrate teamwork and engage fellow Team Members in contributing to Goodwills mission & core purpose.
- You have an open and honest attitude while making moral decisions.
- You recognize the great efforts of fellow Team Members through genuine recognition activities.
- You contribute to a welcoming & accepting work environment by showing respect at all times.
