What youll do
Docusign is seeking a Director of Engineering Commerce Frontend Platform to join our Product Led Growth team within the Growth vertical. In this role you will be responsible for planning and executing key frontend initiatives for PLG engineering. You will help build userfacing products globally using React Node.js and Next.js. You will manage strategic programs encompassing infrastructure and automation as well as micro frontend integration across applications.
To excel in this role you will need an excellent understanding of frontend technologies including React Node.js Next.js and frontend platform architectures (e.g. SSR SSG Next.js MFEs). The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader who is strategic in both technical and product decisionmaking relentless in and passionate about building products and capabilities that foster a culture of experimentation and datadriven product development. You will build a team of leaders who contribute to the strategic vision of our digital properties. You believe that building great things starts with building a diverse team.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.
Responsibility
Offer strong technical guidance and mentorship to the team and partner engineering teams fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
Partner with product management to define and articulate the teams vision aligning with overall business objectives
Develop and execute comprehensive team plans ensuring timely and highquality deliverables
Guide projects from initial concept and design through successful implementation ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Recruit onboard mentor and coach top engineering talent fostering a healthy and inclusive team environment
Collaborate effectively with product management business stakeholders UI/UX designers and other engineering teams to achieve shared goals
Build and implement website experimentation strategies to drive datadriven improvements
Define and implement robust testing processes and deployment strategies to ensure highquality and reliable releases
Ensure adherence to best practices in SEO responsiveness performance and accessibility
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between inoffice and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly inoffice expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- 8 years of experience as a frontend developer working on userfacing applications with robust error handling
- 15 years of experience in software development and building userfacing web applications
- 5 years of people management experience including hiring training and team development
- Experience building products from the ground up
- Experience managing multiple teams and delivering largescale frontend applications
- Proficiency in React Node.js and Next.js with the ability to delve into complex system design and implementation as needed
- Bachelors Masters or Doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong project management skills and experience with agile/scrum
- Highly motivated selfstarter with a bias to action and passion for delivering highquality data solutions
- Attention to detail and quality with excellent problem solving and communication skills
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
Based on applicable legislation the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $195500.00 $315775.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of preestablished sales goals. NonSales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
