The Advanced Reproductive Laboratory is a unique wellestablished laboratory space with great work life balance. It is divided into three sections Andrology Chemistry and Embryology. We work in conjunction with the Fertility & Reproductive Clinic. Our clinic population are clinic fertility patients and on occasion patients from other fertility clinics.

The candidate for this position will receive training onsite to replace our current General Supervisor of Chemistry. They will also receive training on preparing sperm for Intrauterine Inseminations for weekend coverage.

The laboratory is open 7am 4:30pm. Parttime position hours to be determined with new hire. Fulltime position is Monday through Friday 7am4:30pm for 4 of those days and one day 711am.

On call weekends and holidays are required. This is in rotation with current staff so new hire should expect to be on call every 57 weekends and 12 holidays/year. Weekend hours are generally 710:30am on Saturdays and rarely Sunday. Saturday hours may be shorter or longer depending on clinic schedule.

Summary

Responsible for preanalytical analytical and postanalytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety quality and regulatory requirements are met.

Job Description

Rare opening in the Advanced Reproductive Laboratory. Start as parttime for training and move to fulltime the first full week of October 2025.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Collect laboratory specimens as needed. Process lab specimens and perform clinical laboratory testing including manual and automated methods in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Demonstrate skill in use of equipment relevant to position.
Demonstrate critical and independent judgement in decisionmaking and problemsolving. Demonstrate personal commitment to the principles values and ethics of the organization to promote a positive work environment. Seek personal learning opportunities. Recognize safety hazards and comply with all safety practices and protocols. Assist in training new staff. Serve as a laboratory resource. Perform other related duties as assigned. May be required to travel to other locations.

On Call weekends required Saturdays usually 710:30am. Rarely Sundays. Rotation with other lab staff.

12 years experience with chemistry analyzers preferred.

Schedule to be determined for part time position.

Full time position is 74:30 4 days a week and one 711am day

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.



Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND) must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
