Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is a multidisciplinary engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms insurance companies and manufacturers on small to largescale projects to answer any technical questions they have. As a firm our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents equipment failures personal injury claims and damage to residential or commercial structures. In many cases we provide structural design services for repairs and retrofits to damaged or otherwise deficient residential commercial and industrial structures. Electrical Engineering consultant responsible for marketing company and self to obtain client base and build business. Plans directs and coordinates activities of small to large scale client projects for insurance or litigation investigative support to ensure that goals/objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the below duties personally or with the assistance of other consultants technologists and administrative assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts and directs field investigations of incidents involving electrical issues (fires equipment malfunctions/misuse etc..
  • Performs engineering analysis of incidents involving electrical issues.
  • Authors highquality technical reports.
  • Conducts welldeveloped and wellprepared client presentations.
  • Testifies in court or provides depositions if requested by clients.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for assignment of project personnel.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties responsibilities and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates project within prescribed schedule and budget scopes.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Seeks technical advice and oversight from more experienced consultants when necessary.
  • Coordinates proper internal project technical reviews.
  • Works with Business Development to identify potential clients and strategies to build client base.
  • Actively participates in Business Development activities including client meetings presentations and appropriate conferences.
  • Mentors earliercareer employees in growth and development.
  • Actively seeks to develop professionally in skills experience and industry reputation.
  • Actively works to develop client base and book of business

Education Requirements:

    • BS Electrical Engineer required; MS or Ph.D. preferred.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • 47 years work experience in forensic consulting or industry consulting position.
  • Authoring of highquality technical reports and/or peerreviewed publications.
  • Preferred experience in consulting industry.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner and develop business both internally and externally.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing.

Certificates Licenses Registrations:

    • PE License Preferred; CFEI or CFI Certification preferred.

Computer Skills:

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat Professional. Windows Operating System experience highly preferred. Intermediate skills in graphics programs Internet browsers and database programs.
