Job Description
Overview
The Cardiac Monitor Specialist is responsible for ICD and Pacemaker device interrogation testing and diagnostic interpretation. Is crosstrained and assists in other areas of arrhythmia services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical analysis of pacemaker and ICD patients in the clinic.
- Perform ICD checks and pacemaker interrogations.
- Document pacemaker/ICD checks into the electronic medical record and reports all findings to the health care provider.
- Tests and configures devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider.
- Enroll and educate new patients into remote monitoring system.
- Escalate nonroutine issues to the Practice Manager Pacemaker Clinic Supervisor or physician.
- Communicate with physicians managers and coworkers as appropriate abount changes in the patients clinical and device conditions.
- Print and scan remote checks into the electronic medical record system.
- Schedule appointments for followup visits when seen in the pacemaker clinic.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Heart Rhythm Society certification preferred
2 years working in a pacemaker setting
2 years working in Cardiology
