Technical Business Analyst (Financial Crime)

About the role:
As a Tech BA Fin Crime you will be responsible for building and supporting the big data platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders process owners and users to understand service/product requirements. You will collaborate with solution architects and designers to translate business requirements into epics features and stories used by the delivery team. Your role includes liaising with stakeholders external parties and conducting research to understand NonFunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure the solution meets relevant standards and other system/solution quality requirements. You will act as a bridge between key client business stakeholders project/iteration managers solution architects/designers developers and testers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Capturing and documenting highlevel business requirements
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Liaising with stakeholders and external parties to understand NFRs
- Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Supporting the team and removing impediments
- Mentoring junior consultants
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a tech BA or equivalent in IT Consulting or other technology business units
- Significant IT Business Analyst experience in enterprise/big data projects
- Experience in designing data mapping from source to target systems
- Proficiency in SQL and data modelling methodologies
- Strong experience in Agile environments
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related Engineering courses
Desired Attributes and Skills:
- One or more industryrecognised technology certifications or badges
- Project management skills such as Project Planning Budgeting Performance Management Scheduling Staffing PM Methods Performance Management Scope Management Contractual Deliverables Change Control and Risk Management
- Experience delivering projects based on Cloud Platforms such as Azure AWS GCP and IBM
- Understanding of containerisation virtualisation infrastructure and networking
- Experience in presenting to and influencing stakeholders and senior managers
Whats on offerThis contract is available for an initial 6month term with extensions. Located in Sydney this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
