Our client is seeking a Remote Controls Engineer to provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing locations during day and night shifts including weekends. This crossfunctional role requires proficiency in SCADA systems SQL databases Siemens PLCs and controls logic.

Utilize SQL database structure and programming for troubleshooting and optimization.
Develop comprehensive support documentation for drive troubleshooting and maintenance.
Address routine applicationrelated support issues promptly.
Collaborate via Microsoft Teams and phone with onsite specialists electricians and technicians to resolve controls issues impacting production.
Escalate nonroutine technical issues to appropriate internal experts.
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides to empower onsite personnel.
Design and implement improvements to mitigate common failure modes.
Stay updated on new technologies and capabilities in controls applications and hardware leading implementation efforts where applicable.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key plant personnel ensuring a customerfocused approach even after issue resolution.
Work effectively in a remote environment while supporting a continuous manufacturing operation requiring a stable internet connection and strong electronic communication skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
5 years of experience in manufacturing systems controls and software development.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or equivalent. Alternatively 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Fundamental understanding of manufacturing systems and web handling production processes.
Proficiency in SQL .NET systems Aveva System Platform and MS SQL Server.
Working knowledge of PLC I/O communications Siemens PLCs and drives.
Ability to research issues and learn new technologies quickly.
Availability to participate in weekend rotational emergency support monitoring (approx. 5 annually).
Basic mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
