We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Project Lead. This role can be hybrid or based in office. Home location preference is flexible for any metropolitan area applied operates in in Canada however flexibility will be granted for the right candidate in any major geographical area we operate:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Procurement & Product Management were looking for a creative mind that is not afraid of challenges and who strives on proving that anything is possible with the right focus and determination. This individual will be centred around customer service and delivering quality services process oriented driven and passionate about all things within the project management realm. A self starter with great time management skills strong influencing capabilities exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders customers operations associates other internal divisions within Canada.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Projects are including but not limited to:Succession Planning Development Real Estate duties and responsibilitiesService Center and Shop Consolidation Projects Leading Indirect Procurement initiatives and all other duties as required. Leading and organizing scope documents project schedules and stakeholder management. This includes but not limited to change order management budget documents managing meeting and meeting documents.
- Responsible establishing documentation reviewing processes and creating recommendations for Project Templates. This includes communication with different internal and/or external partners to achieve this goal.
- Responsible for establishing and meeting department metrics including working capital forecasting accuracy procurement requirements and service levels.
- Own the creation and communication with stakeholders scope revisions and documents pertaining ongoing and upcoming projects. This includes but not limited to meeting agendas and notes budget documents and RFP/Quote review documents.
- Ensuring deadlines are established and met.
- Producing and overseeing templates and forms to ensure consistent project controls and management through a wide range of projects.
- Lead Change Management programs to ensure successful project transitions.
- Coordinate with crossdiscipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with the projected requirements and deadlines.
Development and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and improve upon project templates and organizational processes ensuring effective management processes and workflows.
- Lead and/or participates in crossfunctional teams to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives that result in increases in efficiency.
- Identifies and works towards delivering best practice procurement solutions preferably through automation.
- Execute on lean improvement techniques that help streamline workflows.
Current and Future Projects
- AIT Canada Service Center and Shop Consolidations:
- Shop Supplies and Raw Materials Project
- Lead the procurement team in creating metrics and tracking for this project
- Ensure rollout across the shop organization
- Indirect Procurement Projects
- Review current site adoption of Office Supply Program evaluate complete office supply spend and propose project to increase usage of the program
- Look at other opportunities for consolidation of nation wide programs
- Real Estate
- Work with the US to review evaluate and understand Lease Accelerator CASS Invoicing and validation project of all documentation for leases and lease management.
- Leading the cadence with real estate team and ensuring documentation and file structure is organized and properly maintained.
- Continued progress towards Achieving Superior Performance
- Aiding in change management and adoption of new programs and systems based on consolidation projects and other projects assigned
- Development and administration of tools for initiation planning monitoring and control and closure phases of a project.
- All other duties and projects as advised
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related fields
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification would be an asset
- Minimum 35 years of progressive project experience
Specific Skills:
- Strong business acumen having a comprehensive understanding of the link between project initiatives and business strategy and success
- Ability to develop Project Plans including but not limited to project scope plan budget and timelines/Gantt chart
- Critical thinking; use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to work selfdirected in a remote setting from manager
- Ability to effectively influence and impact across the workforce and at all levels in the organization
- Able and willing to travel across Canada as projects require it
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to influence all layers of management with the demonstrated ability to provide ownership and accountability through the scope of the project
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with multiple stakeholders managers employees leadership etc.
Other Assets:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word and TEAMS as well as working knowledge of Smartsheet or a similar software
Working Conditions
- Position has opportunity to be based in an AIT Canada location (above) or work fully remotely or in a hybrid structure. Physical location must be in one of the following major geographical areas (Greater Toronto or Greater Montreal area)
- Travel expected approximately 25 generally scheduled at the Project Leads discretion
