Job Description
As a Splunk Software Engineer at Level 2 you will be responsible for conducting research development and engineering services in cloud software. Your duties will include requirements analysis software development installation integration evaluation enhancement sustainment testing validation and troubleshooting.
Job Description / Requirements:
- Develop maintain and enhance complex and diverse software systems such as processingintensive analytics novel algorithm development manipulation of large data sets realtime systems and business management information systems based on documented requirements.
- Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements document test results and resolve software problem reports.
- Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment providing specific input to the software components of system design including hardware/software tradeoffs software reuse use of Commercial Offtheshelf (COTS)/Government Offtheshelf (GOTS) solutions and requirements analysis and synthesis.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.
- Experience building large platforms by integrating opensource or commercial software with automation scripting.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Fourteen 14 years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.Four 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
