Job Description
ESS provides multiservice capability to major companies andorganisations operating in remote sites gold mines and coal fields. Weprovide vital workplace support for people working in some of the mostisolated terrains in the world from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold minesin the Australian Outback. Due to anticipated growth we are looking for an Assistant Commercial Accountant.
The Position
You will provide commercial support to the offshore remote sector of our business. This involves end of month and management reporting contractual compliance & reviews and financial analysis of portfolios. This is an opportunity to play a key role in consistently delivering and exceeding our client expectations.
- Accurate & timely month end closing processes
- Partnering with key internal stakeholders to enhance financial performance
- Preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts
- Contract Compliance: Preparation of price escalations and contract variations
- Actual versus project performance reviews against contract
The Person
- Accounting degree qualified and/or studying toward CA / CPA
- 2 years previous experience within a commercial accounting environment
- A high level of technical and analytical skills
- Ability to problem solve prioritise and multitask
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comfortably communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in ORACLE is also advantageous
