Man Central Trading:
The Central Trading team maximises the alpha within the investment process through market knowledge trading specialisation leveraging best in class technology and rigorous research and TCA.
The Role:
As an Associate Electronic Trader you will help manage our systematic quantitative/discretionary strategies and support the development of a bestinclass trading platform for the firm. You will be part of a multi asset systematic trading team. We are looking for an Associate Quant Trader to cover Equity and Derivatives across Global Markets. We look for traders sharing our values of excellence drive meritocracy and integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Help managing our systematic trading strategies by maximising our platform and technology
- Contribute to improvements across signal development portfolio construction risk management and trading
- Drive development of our trading platform infrastructure and technology
- Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to improve performance of our systematic and discretionary strategies.
- Provide oversight for broker Program trading and algorithm trades
- Determine appropriateness of venues for various trades
- Assist in various proprietary algorithm enhancements and broker algo experimentations
- Manage Trading Implementation of both Quant and Fundamental Investment Processes:
- Liaising with Portfolio Managers to keep them informed of names impacting respective portfolios
- Work with fundamental Portfolio Managers to create best in class implementation
- Monitoring of performance and progress
- Develop and maintain relationships with our counterparties.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced skill level programming language such as Python or R.
- Developing and understanding of Market Microstructure.
- Handson attitude; willing to get involved with technology and projects across the firm
- 1 years of experience in a financial institution.
- Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical statistical and computing content: Mathematics Computer Science Engineering Economics or Physics from a leading university
- Ability to think quickly & logically in very highpressure situations.
- Intellectually robust with a keenly analytic approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable communication across investment management teams and regions.
