What Youll Do
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Gain knowledge about Steel Making processes through job shadowing and hands on activities Intern will spend time in each job role throughout the department
- Works cross functionally under direction to improve manufacturing/department processes
- Completes special projects as assigned by their manager to include analysis and change continuous improvement recommendations as requested
- Perform general labor to support operation requirements
- Perform minor repairs to keep buildings grounds and equipment in working order to include: landscaping painting and housekeeping
- Participates in team meetings and activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Plan coordinate and communicate with peers and supervisors daily to ensure safe operations preservation of company assets environmental compliance cost and energy consciousness and to promote the values of the CMC people program
What Youll Need
- Ability to work an 8hour schedule which may require some evening or weekend work
- Ability to work in extreme heat
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work as a team player in a fastpaced environment required
- Ability to learn quickly and multitask required
- Ability to pay close attention to detail required
- Strong quality and results orientation with a proactive approach
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures

- Must meet CMC attendance standards

- Must be able to bend stoop push pull lift kneel squat crawl and reach
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required including weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Good math skills required
- Proficient in Excel Word and PowerPoint
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related field at an accredited university
