Job Description
Overview
We are seeking to hire an individual with a background in medical diagnostics and ideally blood banking to serve as our Field Service Technician. As Field Service Engineer you will be providing corrective maintenance installation and calibration of equipment at the customer sites. Field Service Engineer (Engineering)
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing theparts inventory
- Maintaining adequate trunk stock and accurate documentation
- Adhering to all company policies and maintaining aneat and clean work environment
- Ensuring all deadlines are met for installment of new equipment and repaired equipment
- Completing regular training to stay abreast of current information and sharing best practices with team members and training them as needed
- Maintaining a professional image and communicating effectively with all internal and external customers and staff
Field Service Engineer (Engineering)
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience from military or biomedical training plus 2 years of field experience as a Field Service Engineer
- 3 years of experience in the invitro diagnostics industry preferred
- Experience in repairing and using instruments used for Diagnostic Blood Banking Blood Typing and Antibody screening preferred
- Must be willing to travel up to 25 with average overnight travel 12 nights/week
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology a plus MT (ASCP)
