Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Data Entry Specialist to join our Cost Estimating Department at Freedom Waterworks. The Cost Estimator Department is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to provide accurate estimates for products and labor required in water and wastewater construction projects.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a fulltime hourly position with a competitive compensation package ranging from $18 to $19 per hour. Benefits include medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan paid time off and opportunities for career growth within the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates by gathering analyzing and processing data necessary for bid submissions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents to extract and organize relevant data.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data required for project bids.
- Assist in managing project pricing and cost databases to support competitive bidding and profitability.
- Learn and apply skills related to cost estimation under the guidance of experienced estimators.
- Maintain data entry deadlines and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and organization abilities capable of collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable of Excel
