Job Description
The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a parttime faulty to teach ECN 422 Introduction to Statistics and Econometrics to undergraduate economics students through SU Continuing Education. This course introduces you to the statistical techniques used in economic analysis. Successful completion of this course should allow you to better understand the empirical literature that majors will encounter in upper division courses. This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible. Responsibilities
It is understood that teaching assignments may include the following: Developing and/or updating class syllabus Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the start of class date Preparation of lectures projects or other student assignments Maintain regularly scheduled office hours Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course Meeting all designated class periods Submitting completed midsemester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner
Qualifications
Minimum of M.A in Economics with excellent teaching experience of economic courses at the undergraduate level and strong class evaluations.
