The Senior Staff Engineer performs geotechnical work around the process of acquiring analyzing engineering and interpreting complete and highquality geotechnical data to provide accurate and customized services to clients. This individual will provide geotechnical advice in one or a small number of specialized technical disciplines and develop solutions for clients by putting acquired geotechnical data into context. This role requires logging soil and rock samples in the field and preparing data reports under the supervision of senior engineers.
Job Responsibilities:

- Use prescribed methods to perform project tasks under the supervision of an experienced professional.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations adjust and correlate data recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of detailed steps or processes.
- Assist senior professionals with project including coordination of field exploration assigning laboratory testing and performing analyses.
- Assist senior professionals with the proposal and report preparation.
- Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner within the project budget.
- Meet all utilization goals as determined by the Activity Center Manager or supervisor.
- Log borings in the field
- Prepare data reports
- Use Fugros standard software to prepare final boring logs subsurface profiles and plans of boring locations
- Ensure accordance to company standards industry standards QHSSE policy and local regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
- Bachelors degree of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required a Masters degree. is preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of geotechnical engineering including experience with acquiring interpreting and analyzing geodata and performing engineering calculations.
- Engineerintraining in the state of Texas is preferred.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Present information and ideas and respond to questions clearly and concisely.
- Understand advanced technical requirements and current data acquisition procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of computer operations including Microsoft Office and other engineering programs
- Possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport possible international travel/assignments may be required.
