The Opportunity

Williams International is looking for an experienced M&P Technician to join our team in Pontiac MI on 1st shift. The M&P Technician will work in a materials laboratory using cutoff saws mounting presses light microscopes and image analysis software. The individual will prepare samples for metallographic analysis by sectioning mounting polishing and etching. The M&P Technician will compare microstructures against standards and approve/reject process control sample.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or Certificate in material science or metallurgy (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a materials laboratory performing metallographic analysis.
  • Must have knowledge of thermal/plasma spray processes and experience evaluating thermal spray coatings.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and planning.
  • U.S. Citizenship status required.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
