Plant 81 Creeler Shift 3Position Overview
Position Objective:
Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train Creelers who will play an important role in the manufacturing and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated interested in learning various skills and who enjoy problemsolving.
Essential Duties:
Scan in system and pull job assignment duties from the creeler assignment Kiosk.
Pull empty cones and/or tubes
Ensure proper placement of yarn packages on the holders and that the yarn packages match the yarn lot number being used for that machine
Splice the end of the new yarn package into the tail of the package that is currently running
Neatly organize and place all cones tubes and cardboard in a location that can be easily picked up by the lift truck driver
Aspirate/Strip dirty yarn off cones and use tube spreader on crushed cones when possible
Notify Creel Lead of any nonconforming yarn
Keep the area surrounding assigned machines clean
Assist the LTO by staging yarn dollies and moving yarn into creels
Help run knots at the end of a creel change when requested by Creel Lead or Supervisor
Work Shift
